Babylonstoren is an authentic, versatile venue with one of the country’s best preserved Cape Dutch farmyards, offering a historic yet contemporary farm stay. The ever-changing tapestry and rich bounty of the gardens at Babylonstoren inform everything – from the facilities and activities on offer to the themes of their functions, which range from weddings to private celebrations.
All are housed in original, beautifully restored Cape Dutch farm buildings which, with their whitewashed walls, ornate gables and thatched roofs, provide an elegant environment for a wedding party or any event for up to 100 guests. The function venues are reserved for one function at a time, so you will have the exclusive use of the areas around the venues.
Venues at KWV
The Auditorium at KWV Wine Emporium is the perfect venue for your next conference or meeting. The venue has seating capacity for 64 delegates. The specialised team will ensure that your experience is comfortable from beginning to end.
In the heart of Paarl, the Cathedral Cellar stands as a symbol of grandeur and history in the world of fine dining. This historic venue, originally built in 1930 by KWV, boasts an architectural marvel that includes a breathtaking barrel-vaulted roof and stained-glass windows, reminiscent of a grand cathedral.
In 2018, Cathedral Cellar opened its doors as a private dining and events venue, taking on a new life under the custodianship of Chef Mynhardt Joubert.

The Vineyard Terrace wedding venue at Vrede en Lust offers spectacular views with a total of 300 sqm outdoor floor space surrounded by frameless glass (250 sqm covered by a permanent roof structure). The historic cellar covers more than 300 sqm, with a permanent kitchen and toilets.
